Oaktree Capital Group, LLC (NYSE:OAK) ("Oaktree") today announced the pricing of a $180 million offering of 7,200,000 of its 6.625% Series A Preferred units representing limited liability company interests with a liquidation preference of $25.00 per unit. In addition, Oaktree has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1,080,000 Series A Preferred units solely to cover over-allotments. The offering is expected to close on May 17, 2018, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
Oaktree Capital Group is engaged as a global investment manager focused on alternative investments. Co.'s business is comprised of one segment, its investment management business, which consists of the investment management services that Co. provides to its clients. Funds managed by Co. include commingled funds, separate accounts, collateralized loan obligation vehicles (CLOs) and publicly-traded business development companies. Commingled funds include open-end and closed-end limited partnerships in which Co. makes an investment and for which it serves as the general partner. CLOs are structured finance vehicles in which Co. makes an investment and for which it serves as collateral manager.
