Triton International is a lessor of intermodal containers, which are standardized steel boxes used to transport freight by ship, rail or truck. Co. operates two business segments: equipment leasing, which include the acquisition, leasing, re-leasing and sale of multiple types of intermodal transportation equipment, primarily intermodal containers that include dry containers; refrigerated containers; special containers; tank containers; and chassis; equipment trading, which purchases containers from shipping line customers and other sellers of containers and resells these containers to container retailers and users of containers for storage and one-way shipments.
