Co.'s portfolio primarily contains a mix of single-tenant and multi-tenant office properties and business parks. Co. separates its properties into four reporting segments, which it refers to as the Washington, D.C., Maryland, Northern Virginia and Southern Virginia reporting segments. As of Dec 31 2016, Co. had a noncontrolling ownership interest in certain properties through five unconsolidated joint ventures.
